Job Summary

To manage sales of the company's HVAC products and ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through positive planning, deployment, and management of the sales team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Sales Strategy
    • Develop and implement strategic and business plans for the sales market.
    • Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research, and brand strategy.
    • Analyze store and partner performance indicators against company goals and lead direct reports to develop plans to improve the business.
    • Expand current channels to market and identify new target contractors and consultants.
    • Prepare sales strategies to achieve growth in local and export sales to countries bordering South Africa.
  2. Monitoring Profit
    • Monitor sales performance by group and implement strategies to improve performance where necessary.
    • Lead sales efforts to achieve growth, motivate and inspire the team, and conduct regular meetings to review performance and forecasts.
    • Review distributor performance periodically and address performance gaps.
    • Update management on business processes, operating plans, financial models, and profitability.
  3. Market Share
    • Conduct effective market research and apply findings to increase sales.
    • Analyze sales trends and develop strategies accordingly.
    • Stay updated on market and industry trends, competitors, and customer strategies.
    • Identify new applications or products to increase sales and support marketing activities.
  4. Sales Forecasting
    • Ensure forecasting aligns with sales plans and minimize errors.
    • Monitor forecast accuracy and sales performance.
  5. Project Management
    • Maintain a healthy project pipeline for the assigned market.
    • Follow up on projects from specification to tender and final decision, including pricing.
    • Monitor project progress and participate in weekly pipeline meetings.
    • Ensure projects are registered on the company's B2B system.
  6. Pricing
    • Negotiate pricing to drive sales.
    • Stay informed about market developments and competitor pricing.
    • Make recommendations to keep prices relevant to brand perception.
  7. Reporting
    • Report on sales performance versus targets.
    • Highlight variances and adjust plans accordingly.
    • Report on forecast accuracy and inventory plans.
  8. Budget Setting
    • Assist in setting annual sales targets for each sales group and distributors.
    • Monitor progress towards these targets.
Required Experience
  • 5-10 years of retail sales and sales management experience.
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office at an advanced level.
  • Possession of a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

Educational Requirements

  • Proven sales success track record.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
