Job Summary
To manage sales of the company's HVAC products and ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue through positive planning, deployment, and management of the sales team.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic and business plans for the sales market.
- Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research, and brand strategy.
- Analyze store and partner performance indicators against company goals and lead direct reports to develop plans to improve the business.
- Expand current channels to market and identify new target contractors and consultants.
- Prepare sales strategies to achieve growth in local and export sales to countries bordering South Africa.
- Monitoring Profit
- Monitor sales performance by group and implement strategies to improve performance where necessary.
- Lead sales efforts to achieve growth, motivate and inspire the team, and conduct regular meetings to review performance and forecasts.
- Review distributor performance periodically and address performance gaps.
- Update management on business processes, operating plans, financial models, and profitability.
- Market Share
- Conduct effective market research and apply findings to increase sales.
- Analyze sales trends and develop strategies accordingly.
- Stay updated on market and industry trends, competitors, and customer strategies.
- Identify new applications or products to increase sales and support marketing activities.
- Sales Forecasting
- Ensure forecasting aligns with sales plans and minimize errors.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and sales performance.
- Project Management
- Maintain a healthy project pipeline for the assigned market.
- Follow up on projects from specification to tender and final decision, including pricing.
- Monitor project progress and participate in weekly pipeline meetings.
- Ensure projects are registered on the company's B2B system.
- Pricing
- Negotiate pricing to drive sales.
- Stay informed about market developments and competitor pricing.
- Make recommendations to keep prices relevant to brand perception.
- Reporting
- Report on sales performance versus targets.
- Highlight variances and adjust plans accordingly.
- Report on forecast accuracy and inventory plans.
- Budget Setting
- Assist in setting annual sales targets for each sales group and distributors.
- Monitor progress towards these targets.
Required Experience
- 5-10 years of retail sales and sales management experience.
- Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office at an advanced level.
- Possession of a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
