Job summary

A leading company in the equipment industry is seeking a Credit Manager to ensure healthy cash flow through effective collection of customer accounts. The role involves daily reconciliation, managing overdue invoices, and liaising with stakeholders to resolve payment issues. Candidates should have a Matric qualification and at least 5 years of experience in Credit Management, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in ERP systems.

Job description

The Purpose Of This Position

The successful candidate will ensure that Goscor Earthmoving Equipment maintains a healthy cash flow by effectively collecting customer accounts, thereby ensuring high customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Daily collection of customer remittance advises for accurate allocation.
  2. Follow-up on overdue invoices and payments; implement company collection procedures as necessary.
  3. Daily reconciliation and clearing of cash accounts.
  4. Resolving issues related to invoice payments and reconciling month-end accounts.
  5. Reporting to management on outstanding issues and highlighting potential debtor problems.
  6. Ensuring adherence to credit and collection policies.
  7. Internal liaison to resolve customer queries.
  8. General administration of customer portals, including registration and onboarding.
  9. Review customer credit applications for completeness before submission to Group Risk.
Qualifications And Competencies Required
  • Matric qualification.
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Credit Management with in-depth knowledge.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation such as NCA, Business Rescues, Liquidations, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in execution.
  • Competency with large ERP systems; experience with Autoline / Kerridge is an advantage.
  • Confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in the Rental, Parts Sales, Maintenance, and Services Industry (equipment) is an advantage.
