Your mission

Are you a skilled and resourceful Procurement Manager with a sharp eye for making great deals and ensuring smooth global deliveries? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment where your expertise supports high-end experiences around the world? Then The Storytelling Company would love to hear your story.

In this role, you are the go-to person for all procurement activities across our global projects from sourcing the right hardware, software, and services, to handling the logistics that follow. You ensure that what we buy fits both our budget and our ambition to deliver extraordinary global brand experiences.

Whether it’s securing LED panels from China, arranging the shipment of control systems to the US, or managing customs clearance for audio gear, you know who to call and what to do. You’ll liaise with suppliers, negotiate deals, plan shipments, and work closely with logistics partners and internal teams (our Project and Delivery managers) to make sure everything gets where it needs to go, on time and in full.

Role

You’ll be based in Halfweg and/ or Zwaag (Noord-Holland) but work with colleagues and partners around the globe. As part of our operations backbone, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping projects moving and ensuring our production teams can deliver top-quality experiences without delay. In this role, you will:

  • Own and manage the full procurement process for international AV/IT projects.
  • Source and negotiate deals for hardware, software, and related services.
  • Maintain relationships, including customs and compliance handling together with local partners.
  • Coordinate global shipments, including customs and compliance handling together with local partners.
  • Track deliveries and proactively resolve any shipping or sourcing issues.
  • Keep a clear overview of procurement timelines and budgets across projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and finance to align needs and planning.
  • Contribute to continuously improving procurement and logistics workflows.

Your profile

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally with international scope.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating supplier contracts and managing logistics.
  • Solid knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, able to juggle priorities.
  • Experience in AV/IT-related sectors a plus, but not a must.
  • Comfortable working with procurement and planning tools.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or additional languages are a bonus.
  • Eligibility to work in Netherlands and the ability to work from our Amsterdam (Halfway) office and/or Zwaag office at least 3 days per week.
