A leading company in the FMCG sector is seeking a Handyman Maintenance to ensure the efficiency of equipment at their Kroonstad Mill. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a demanding factory environment. This permanent position requires flexibility in working hours, including shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and N3 qualification in Engineering required.
• 1 year experience in a production factory.
• 2 years experience as Handyman Maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall efficiency of equipment and plant.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Attend to breakdowns and conduct system maintenance.

Key Outputs

Working Conditions

• Factory environment – hot and noisy (must have own tools)
• Required to work outside of normal working hours (after hours and over time)
• Working with and on heavy equipment and plant
• 6-day worker, will be required to work shifts
• Required to work Saturdays, Sundays, Night Shift and Public Holidays as per shift roster
• Ability to work outside normal working hours (shift work on a rotational basis)
