Rennies BCD Travel, a global leader in corporate travel management, is seeking two dynamic Business Development Managers to join our team—one based in Gauteng and the other in the Western Cape. If you’re a proven sales professional with a deep understanding of the business travel industry and a passion for driving growth, we want to hear from you!

Role

Business Development Manager (Fulltime role based in Johannesburg and Cape Town)

Role Description

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities for corporate travel, building relationships with potential clients, and negotiating and closing deals. The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for collaborating with internal teams to maximise revenue and ensure customer satisfaction and attending industry events and conferences to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Sales/Marketing Diploma (equivalent to an NQF level 5 is preferable)
  • At least 3-5 years’Business to Business (B2B) Sales & Marketing experience in the travel industry with proof of success (Non-negotiable)
  • Knowledge of systems (OBT), applications (Expense) and technologies used in the travel industry.
  • Highly performance driven in a competitive sales and commercial environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Expense Management Tools and contemporary OBT solutions
  • Strong Financial and Business acumen
  • Second language preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performance Objectives

  • Drive new business by achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to secure profitable accounts.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations that highlight Rennies BCD Travel’s value proposition.
  • Ensure seamless client handovers to implementation and management teams.
  • Lead bids, tenders, and proposals (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs).
  • Track sales activities and performance using Salesforce.
