Customer-facing LPT Sales Role in Beverage Technology

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to focus on the Beverage Technology portfolio across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing direct marketing and sales activities within established budgets, aiming to achieve sales targets and identify growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage customer relationships in Southern and Eastern Africa, ensuring customer needs are met and exploring opportunities for additional sales.
  2. Develop new business by prospecting and targeting customers in the beverage sector.
  3. Enhance market penetration through regular face-to-face interactions with existing and potential clients.
  4. Conduct market research on competitors and industry trends.
  5. Lead and control the entire sales process from initial contact to customer handover.
  6. Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate sales and after-sales services.
  7. Participate in training sessions, both local and online, to improve knowledge and skills.
  8. Maintain and update customer and prospect information in the CRM system.
  9. Support product development initiatives and contribute to setting project priorities.
  10. Record all sales activities and manage leads and opportunities diligently.
  11. Act as the primary contact point for customers, ensuring high satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  12. Collaborate with engineering and service teams to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • BTech / BSc in Engineering, or a Degree in Sales / Marketing.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proven front-line sales experience in a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering and customer requirements translation.
  • Expertise in sales process tools and methods, including CRM, ordering, and pricing.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contracting skills on an international level.
  • Solid knowledge of corporate finance and performance management.
  • Experience in beverage manufacturing is preferred.
