Production Manager

An exciting opportunity for a Production Manager has become available at our client based in New Germany. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is passionate, a self-starter, and pays attention to detail.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

1. Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Production Management or similar.
2. Experience: At least 5 years in a similar position, with a minimum of 3 years managing a team.
3. Knowledge: Hardware or Retail sector experience is advantageous. Knowledge of IQ Retail System is beneficial.
4. Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
5. IT & Technical Skills: Numeracy, business acumen, and technical IT skills.
6. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Soft skills including numeracy, time management, attention to detail, resourcefulness, communication skills, coordination, decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

Performance Outputs

1. Planning: Coordinate with Operations Manager, review and adjust production schedules, conduct meetings, analyze market demand vs. stock levels, and review plant availability.
2. Organizing (Shift Initiation): Ensure all inputs and resources are in place for shifts.
3. Controlling (Production): Monitor plant and personnel safety, production flow, quality, and compliance. Address deviations and hazards, and oversee manual interventions.
4. Documentation: Produce production reports, input data, and maintain records.
5. Leadership: Recruit and train team members, foster a performance-oriented environment, resolve workplace conflicts.
