Job Description
To serve as a full financial services advisor by providing appropriate savings, investment, and estate planning advice, expertise, and support to high-income clients, with a focus on investments.
Are you someone who can :
- Formulate proposals in cash management, risk needs, investment planning, estate planning, or other areas to help clients achieve their financial goals.
- Achieve previously determined sales targets across the business by identifying opportunities to advise on FirstRand approved investment and risk products.
- Investigate available investment opportunities to determine compatibility with client financial plans.
- Review clients' financial plans regularly to determine whether life changes, economic changes, environmental concerns, or financial performance indicate a need for plan reassessment.
- Provide regular reports on delivery of services against agreed service level agreements and in terms of overall customer targets.
- Ensure that the quality of advice remains high and consistent, aligned with RMB’s investment philosophy and product approved matrix.
- Contribute to maintaining a competitive edge through external networking, benchmarking, and representation on related forums.
- Achieve gross production targets as indicated in the scorecard.
- Inform and educate customers on products and services to ensure retention of existing customers, increase sales revenue, and grow the organization’s customer base.
- Advise on and support the effective resolution of customer queries to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Analyze financial information obtained from clients to develop financial plans or proposals using appropriate tools.
- Gather information to review work progress, providing input for reporting, decision-making, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Take necessary actions to ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements.
- Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices, and internal compliance procedures.
- Ensure compliance in systems and procedures as laid out by RMB.
- Implement and contribute to the development of governance and compliance procedures within your area of specialization, and identify risks.
- Ensure optimal usage and protection of business assets.
- Maintain expert knowledge on all FirstRand approved products, application procedures, processing timelines, to drive sales targets.
- Engage in cross-functional activities and collaborate across boundaries with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships for expectation management, knowledge sharing, and integration.
You will be an ideal candidate if you :
- Hold a relevant Degree in Investment or Economics.
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience as a Wealth Manager with sales and advisory experience with high-income clients.
- Possess FAIS experience; candidates with experience in Sales, Retail, or Business Development will be preferred.
