Vacancy: People & Culture Business Partner

Location: Midrand & Kempton Park

Purpose of the Role

The P&C Business Partner: Inland & Coastal provides strategic and operational HR support to the Inland and Coastal regions. The role involves implementing HR programs, managing employee relations, supporting recruitment, facilitating organizational development, and ensuring legal compliance. The incumbent acts as a liaison between the People & Culture department and operations, supporting business objectives through HR excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Organizational Development: Maintain up-to-date organograms and job descriptions. Prepare documentation for job evaluation and facilitate employment equity initiatives. Support succession planning, training needs analysis, and leadership development.
  2. Employee Relations: Partner with operations to address employee relations matters. Assist in grievance handling, disciplinary investigations, and hearings. Provide advisory support on IR challenges. Facilitate and chair workers' committee meetings.
  3. Employee Lifecycle Management: Facilitate onboarding and induction of new employees. Conduct probationary and exit interviews. Support performance management and the implementation of IDPs.
  4. Recruitment: Collaborate with the Talent team to manage end-to-end recruitment processes. Support hiring managers with workforce planning and job profiling.
  5. People & Culture Administration: Maintain personnel records, manage HR data reporting, support HR projects, and ensure payroll accuracy. Prepare HR reports and analytics. Support initiatives related to company culture, engagement, and retention. Perform administrative tasks such as policy drafting, employee handbook updates, and training scheduling. Maintain HRIS and personnel files.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-year post-matric qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Postgraduate degree advantageous.
  • At least 5 years in a HR Business Partner or HR Management role, with proven experience in labor relations and dispute management.
  • Valid driver's license required.
