Job description

Overview:

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing payroll information by accurately capturing data in the company's payroll system, reconciling information, and preparing month-end reports. The role also involves handling ad hoc requests from other departments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with VIP and/or SAGE 300 is advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out accurate and efficient payroll processes, systems management, and meet deadlines for one or more payrolls, including:
    • Loading employee data and processing terminations
    • Auditing timekeeping records for compliance
    • Maintaining employee payroll records
  • Ensure accurate procedures, payments, and reconciliations, including:
    • Calculating and recording payroll deductions
    • Processing requests, levies, and garnishments
  • Reconcile monthly and annual payroll reports accurately
  • Address employee payroll concerns effectively
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile payroll information and assist with month-end payroll processes
