Job description

Senior Administrator: Procurement (Grade 13)

The Procurement Department invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.

Main Objectives

Responsible for managing the supplier database, vetting suppliers, acting as liaison with service providers, and ensuring suppliers meet mandatory and service delivery requirements according to the Procurement policy and service level agreements. Provides functional and end-user support, maintains reports on supplier database performance, and manages general purchasing by processing requisitions for non-asset goods and services efficiently and in compliance with RU policies and procedures.

The Requirements

A relevant degree or national higher diploma (3 years of study / NQF level 7) in fields like Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Business Management, plus approximately 6 years of relevant experience. This includes experience in procurement/purchasing, familiarity with the Procurement module in Oracle Cloud Finance System (advantageous), experience with account reconciliation, high computer literacy (Word, Excel, Email, Internet), experience establishing and maintaining administrative systems, and at least 2 years of supervision experience.

Selection Process (provisional date):

Remuneration (Grade 13):

Basic Pensionable Salary: R539,568 per annum

Cost to Company: approximately R710,658 per annum
