Job description

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines, systems, and equipment

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and develop effective solutions

- Conduct regular inspections and ensure all equipment is in proper working condition

- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed

- Communicate effectively with other crew members and superiors regarding any mechanical issues or concerns

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times

- Assist with emergency repairs and maintenance as needed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanic in the marine industry

- Strong knowledge of marine engines, systems, and equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings

- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment

- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency repairs

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
