Export Sales Manager

Our client in the building industry has a position available for an Export Sales Manager.

Salary: Highly Negotiable

Qualifications & Experience
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Sales / Marketing / Business Administration / Supply Chain Management
  2. 5+ Years' experience in traveling to SADC Countries promoting products and brands to the construction industry.
  3. Sound knowledge of export documentation, cross-border duties, and regulations.
  4. Proven experience in export business, preferably in the same industry.
  5. Thorough knowledge of foreign trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  6. Strong understanding of levers to develop new business in Africa.
Responsibilities
  1. Develop, structure and manage the business portfolio in SADC Countries.
  2. Sound knowledge of market data and dynamics.
  3. Oversee all aspects of international trade and ensure compliance with all regulations and laws.
  4. Maintain database of customers and markets for pre-seed, expansion, and license opportunities.
  5. Represent the company's range of products and services.
  6. Develop and maintain a customer and prospect database.
  7. Establish and maintain business relationships with partners within SADC countries.
  8. Build brand awareness and value.
  9. Expand service offerings by obtaining new service contracts.
  10. Provide technical support to customers.
  11. Manage annual budgets for capital and operational expenses.
  12. Achieve sales, turnover, forecasts, and budgets targets.
  13. Present weekly/monthly market trend reports, including competitor analysis.
  14. Travel to different provinces and SADC countries to promote products/brands in retail hardware stores, construction sites, and block yards.
  15. Maintain end-to-end tracking for indirect customers.
  16. Evaluate and execute price adjustments aligned with growth initiatives.
  17. Collaborate with PPM, supply & logistics manager, and back-office teams to streamline customer experience.
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with own transport.
