Job summary

Job description

Requirements
  • Qualification in Human Resource at NQF level 7 as recognised by the SAQA.
  • 5 years of experience at a senior managerial level.
  • Nyukela pre-entry certificate into Senior Management Services.
  • Driver’s license.
Duties
  • Oversee HR information management and policy development services for the GPG.
  • Ensure compilation and interpretation of quarterly and annual statistics and reports on Conditions of Service.
  • Maintain accurate Human Resource Establishment records.
  • Review and approve HR policies, standards, and guidelines from Persal for GPG.
  • Safeguard and enforce personnel records confidentiality in line with the POPI Act.
  • Manage Injury on Duty (IOD) services, identify gaps, investigate, and propose corrective measures.
  • Monitor IOD cases and ensure compliance with COIDA standards.
  • Manage conditions of service for all GPG departments, including appointments, terminations, transfers, benefits, housing allowances, and leave management.
  • Develop HR administration policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Report on audit findings related to incapacity leave and health issues to senior management.
  • Oversee debt collection services within GPG, ensure recovery of owed debts, and monitor cases transferred to legal services.
  • Administer GPG-wide payroll services, approve salaries, allowances, and deductions.
  • Ensure payroll policies comply with PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
  • Provide leadership and resource management, foster a collaborative work environment, and promote professional development.
  • Manage resources, including the department budget, ensuring discipline and adherence to organizational policies.
