Job description

Seeking a Branch Manager for Industrial Plastics, Agriculture Sheets, Packaging and dam liners.

POSITION INFO :

  1. Direct and control company policies and all company activities in order to generate the required Return on Investment and to ensure the long-term sustainability of the company.
  2. Provide the vision, set the direction of and inspire others to deliver on the organization mandate.
  3. Apply the policies and guidelines as issued by the Executive.
  4. Define business objectives through budget and strategic planning.
  5. Monitor the development of the results of the company and carry out final responsibility for achieving these objectives.
  6. Report on the financial results of the company.
  7. Ensure that adequate organization structures, resources, plans, procedures, systems and controls are in place to attain agreed goals and objectives.
  8. Ensure that the company conforms to the Statutory and Regulatory factors of the work environment including Safety, Health and Environmental issues.
  9. Ensure that people of the correct calibre that are employed in the respective positions are motivated and competently trained in order to reach the company objectives.
  10. Ensure that harmonious Human and Industrial relations exist within the company.
  11. Prepare, together with the Sales Team, a marketing and sales strategy / information related to the business and provide detailed analysis with necessary action to ensure a proactive response to market changes.
  12. Optimize the use of Working Capital.
  13. Generate a cash flow that meets the agreed targets and budgets.
  14. Define the company’s strategic planning decisions and new business development initiatives.
  15. Manage, through an organization / reporting structure, as approved in the Annual Operating Budgets.
  16. Grow sales through existing and new customers and new markets and achieve all budgets.
  17. Negotiate with existing suppliers, new suppliers and agencies.
  18. Make all decisions related to the company within the general guidelines and limits of authority of the Nelspruit.
  19. Submit Annual Operating Budgets and Investment Expenditure Budgets to the Executive Committee for approval.
  20. Select and appoint immediate subordinates, if necessary, together with the Managing, and delegate to each of them responsibility and accountability, however, do not delegate overall responsibility.
  21. Make final decisions on pricing strategy and delegate specific pricing authority.
  22. Lead the discussions and negotiations with major suppliers. Delegate specific supplier agreements.
  23. Discuss purchasing specifications with suppliers and select products and suppliers in accordance with specific criteria.
  24. Generate shareholders profits that meet the agreed targets and budgets.
