About the Role

We are seeking an Executive Project Officer to provide high-level executive and project coordination support to Group Directors within NSW Public Works.

You will drive operational excellence, ensuring the smooth implementation of strategies, systems, and client engagement initiatives across directorates. This high-impact role involves managing complex projects, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and contributing to business transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Your ability to problem-solve, coordinate executive-level external engagement, and influence decision-making will be essential for driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is results-driven, highly organized, proactive, adaptable, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of navigating competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

About You
  • Provide high-level executive and project coordination, ensuring effective implementation of strategies, business processes, and client engagement initiatives.
  • Manage and support projects by coordinating resources, preparing reports, briefs, presentations, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Identify and lead business improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and service delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, aligning efforts with strategic objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional projects and operational improvements across business units.
  • Prioritize demands in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Utilize technology and data to improve operations and decision-making.
  • Support staff development and change management to foster growth and adaptability.
  • Proven experience in preparing high-level reports, briefs, and presentations, including industry keynotes and Ministerial briefs.
  • Experience or exposure to infrastructure advisory, delivery sectors, and construction procurement is highly beneficial.
  • Hold a current NSW Driver Licence and be willing to travel to regional and remote locations, including overnight stays.
