Manages an assigned account or group of accounts with the primary responsibility of creating value for the customers through technical service, identifying new product opportunities, and selling to existing customers.
The focus is on maintaining revenue, capturing prices, and improving gross profit.
Attaining new business may be part of the role but is not the primary responsibility.
Typically requires top-level knowledge of the job, including a comprehensive understanding of the general and technical aspects, and their practical applications to common problems and situations.
Performs non-routine and moderately complex tasks independently.
