We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Manager to lead the strategy and reporting within the B-BBEE transformation and ESG compliance space.

This role sits at the intersection of financial support, strategic transformation, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring our business aligns with regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Transformation
2. Analyze and manage all elements of the B-BBEE scorecard (Ownership, Management control, Skills development, Enterprise and Supplier development, and Socio-Economic Development).
3. Create and report on B-BBEE scorecard scenarios and strategies for the annual business planning process.
4. Provide technical expertise around relevant B-BBEE legislation, e.g., DTI Codes of Good Practice.
5. Attend relevant committee meetings, ensuring representation from the transformation side.
6. Produce quarterly TMPS calculations for the B-BBEE system.
7. Provide detailed procurement spend reports monthly.
8. Track and analyze non-compliant spend monthly.
9. Engage stakeholders to develop and implement projects, ensuring compliance with B-BBEE legislation.
10. Handle B-BBEE requests, e.g., tender information, seminars, webinars.
11. Operationalize the B-BBEE system, including scenario planning and legislative updates.
12. Advise leadership on scorecard improvement opportunities through financial structuring and initiatives.
13. Educate businesses on developments in B-BBEE and related matters.
14. Collaborate with ESG and sustainability teams to develop and manage monthly ESG performance reports.
15. Support ESG reporting for stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
16. Ensure timely and accurate data submissions on ESG systems.
17. Approve data submissions and prepare quarterly reports for the board.
18. Support ESG initiatives aligned with business strategy.
19. Manage and support ESG audits.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in commerce (Accounting, Economics, Auditing)
• B-BBEE MDP Programmes
• CIMA (Advantageous)

Minimum Experience Level :

5-7 years in ESG and Transformation, with experience in the generic sector code.

Exposure :

• Data analysis, report drafting, stakeholder influence, relationship building, project management, presentation skills.

Technical / Professional Knowledge :

• B-BBEE Codes, Microsoft Office (Advanced PowerPoint, Excel, Word), business and report writing, regulatory knowledge, industry trends, project management, data analysis, governance, risk, controls, decision-making, change facilitation, high-impact communication.

Additional Details :

Senior level, full-time employment in the finance and accounting sector, based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa.
