Workshop Manager – Automotive Premium Industry

Key Responsibilities :

• Workshop Operations : Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that all repair and service tasks are performed to the highest standards.
• Team Leadership : Lead, supervise, and motivate a skilled team of technicians and staff, ensuring high morale and performance.
• Customer Satisfaction : Ensure all customer service requests are handled efficiently, maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring repeat business.
• Quality Control : Oversee the quality of work performed and ensure all vehicles are serviced according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Inventory & Ordering : Manage workshop parts inventory, order parts when needed, and ensure the workshop is adequately stocked with tools and equipment.
• Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
• Budget & Cost Management : Monitor and manage workshop budget, costs, and resources efficiently to meet business objectives.
• Reporting & Documentation : Ensure proper documentation for all services, repairs, and workshop-related activities, including job sheets and reports.

Requirements :

• Qualification : Minimum of a Matric or equivalent. A relevant qualification in Automotive Engineering, Workshop Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Experience : At least 5 years’ experience in a similar workshop management role within the automotive industry, preferably with premium or luxury brands.
• Technical Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of automotive repair and servicing, specifically within the premium automotive sector .
• Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to Detail : Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality service and results.
• Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
• Computer Literacy : Proficient in workshop management software, including parts ordering systems, job tracking, and reporting tools.
• Valid Driver’s License : A valid South African driver’s license is required.
• Knowledge of premium automotive brands
• Experience with managing workshop budgets and performance metrics.
• Strong background in customer service and resolving client concerns effectively.
