Job Opportunity: Garment Technologist at Old Khaki

We are seeking a resilient, innovative, and thorough Garment Technologist to join our Old Khaki Department. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to our department and business objectives, thriving in our fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Product development aligned with brand requirements and specifications
  2. Accurate tech pack submission to suppliers
  3. Managing the sample sealing process from initial development to bulk production
  4. Leading seasonal fit reviews
  5. Pattern grading according to brand and customer specifications
  6. Providing technical support to the Design team
  7. Managing and updating pattern block library and grade rules
  8. Maintaining stringent garment quality standards and QA reports
  9. Developing relationships with suppliers and conducting quality audits
  10. Collaborating with Distribution Centre QC team on approvals and quality issues
  11. Engaging with local and overseas factories on sample approvals and quality queries
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Tertiary qualification in fashion design, clothing, textiles, or garment construction
  • Factory experience (advantageous)
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license (advantageous)
  • Experience in a clothing retail environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of garment and pattern construction
