Job Purpose
To increase the client base and fulfill clients' sales and service needs through the mobile channel in line with Nedbank's strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Acquire new business by selling Nedbank products to newly identified companies and their staff.
- Generate new business outside of the established branch channel through mobile capabilities.
- Assist companies with financial wellness programs for their staff.
- Identify new sales opportunities by engaging employees of newly identified companies and the communities they operate in.
- Meet companies and their staff's financial needs by conducting needs analysis.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure team collaboration, sales, service support, and mining new opportunities.
- Establish and maintain external relationships with companies to ensure client service and future sales opportunities.
- Maintain internal relationships to ensure support from Retail, Relationship, and Business Banking for potential opportunities from client engagements.
- Review action plans and take corrective measures to deliver sales and service results.
- Create an environment conducive to selling Nedbank products and services within companies and communities.
- Utilize resources to manage risk according to Nedbank policies (e.g., using ultraviolet lights to identify false identity documents).
- Address challenges in community sales areas proactively to prevent or eliminate issues.
- Participate in team meetings and share best practices with colleagues.
- Contribute to Nedbank culture-building initiatives and support corporate responsibility efforts.
- Seek opportunities for process and system improvements through agile thinking.
Minimum Experience Level
- 3 years of relationship management experience in the financial sector.
- 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record in a high-pressure sales environment.
- 3 years of sales experience in a Home Loans environment, estate agency, or bond origination is essential.
Requirements
- NQF Level 5 or higher in a Financial or Business-related field.
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Technical / Professional Knowledge
- Business principles and terminology.
- Data analysis and governance, risk, and controls.
- Relevant regulatory knowledge.
- Administrative procedures and systems.
- Banking knowledge and procedures.
- Cluster-specific operational knowledge.
- Sales strategies, relationship building, networking, and customer satisfaction.
