FINANCIAL MANAGER (CIMA) - ZAR 1.2M - SOUTHERN SUBURBS, CAPE TOWN

We’re looking for a commercially astute Finance Manager ready to take the lead in a hands-on, high-exposure finance role. If you’re a CIMA-qualified professional with a passion for financial modelling and strategic analysis, this is your opportunity to make a real impact and take ownership of the end-to-end finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. This is a 'meaty' role that offers direct exposure to investor reporting, treasury management, and financial performance tracking—perfect for a commercially minded, analytically driven professional.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the full finance function – from monthly close to board-level reporting
  • Own and refine financial models to support strategic decision-making and investment analysis
  • Build and present budgets, forecasts, and variance reports with clear business insights
  • Deliver accurate, timely investor and stakeholder reporting
  • Manage treasury to ensure sufficient liquidity for deals and operational requirements
  • Partner with the executive team on deal structuring, funding strategy, and credit assessments
  • Supervise and mentor a small finance team
  • Oversee risk controls related to maturing loans, security releases, and cash settlements
  • Liaise with agents to oversee portfolio performance
  • Support HR administration and recruitment coordination


Requirements
  • Registered ACMA,CGMA / CIMA qualified with 2-4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a comparable role in financial services
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions and tools
  • Well-versed in financial modelling, analytical reviews, and cash flow forecasting
  • Proven track record in budgeting, management reporting, and performance tracking
  • Confident team leader with experience engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Known for integrity, adaptability, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
