Job description

Job Title: Sourcing & Procurement Manager

Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Are you a strategic thinker with a technical engineering background and a passion for optimizing supply chains and driving value? Our client, a well-established multi-national Oil and Gas company with over two decades of experience, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead their procurement function at their Durban office.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end procurement operations and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing across the organization.
  • Develop and execute project and category strategies based on procurement plans.
  • Assess S&P effectiveness, develop roadmaps, and perform spend and contract analyses.
  • Ensure effective governance and inventory management processes.
  • Lead tender processes within global and local frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Engineering background (advantageous).
  • MBA (advantageous).
  • 7–10 years of hands-on procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • CIPS Level 6 or MCIPS certification.

Salary: R1 to R1 (includes Medical and Provident Fund, excludes Performance Bonus).
