Job description

A university degree in engineering or Technical NHD plus 15 years of supervisory experience in project controls on major EPC projects.

Extensive technical and leadership training, including project-related seminars.

PMI (PMP) and/or AACE certification or similar is advantageous.

Willingness to undergo rigorous in-house PCDP and quality training.

Over 10 years of progressive planning experience, including at least 8 years in supervisory roles in EPC project planning, scheduling, earned value & risk analysis, performance measurement, and project auditing.

This position involves planning and directing the activities of the planning/scheduling function for a portfolio of major projects or at a corporate level.

Proficiency in advanced Microsoft applications and expert knowledge of MS Projects and other planning software.

Deep understanding of WPMP and other project management methodologies.

A proven track record of improving project delivery.

Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles.

Skills in cost engineering, estimating, and planning engineering as per WPMP & EMS standards.

Comprehensive understanding of project delivery phases, activities, and deliverables, including constructability reviews, cost estimates, and execution plans.

Experience with major EPCM/EPC contracts across various industrial sectors.

Strong knowledge of technical project scope definition, scheduling, estimating, construction sequencing, procurement, contracting, commissioning, and start-up processes.

Familiarity with coding structures like WBS, EPS, OBS, RBS, and others for EPC projects.

Ability to set up project schedules based on critical path methodology, identifying task interdependencies and milestones.

Experience with scheduling and cost control software, including resource allocation, critical path analysis, risk identification, and progress reporting tools.

Understanding of cross-functional interfaces and deliverables across engineering, procurement, construction, safety, quality, finance, and document control.

Capability to manage impacts of changes and trends, including re-scheduling and re-baselining.

Experience in managing project progress using earned value management (EVM) and performance indicators like CPI, SPI, MPI.

Proficiency with Primavera P6 and other planning tools, including risk analysis and progress measurement systems.

Ability to develop and present professional reports, slide presentations, and verbal updates to audiences of 5 or more.

Effective analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Strong work ethic, accuracy, credibility, and adherence to deadlines.

Independent judgment in planning/control functions, capable of analyzing complex problems and making sound decisions.

Works under administrative direction, with oversight based on project goals; supervises planning/scheduling staff.

Site-based position with accommodation provided (4-star lodges).

Contract until December 2025, with a possible 1-year extension.
