Job Summary : Based in Johannesburg, the Sales Lead will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic business opportunities that drive growth, profitability, and market share with a focus on Peritoneal Dialysis and Acute Therapies.
This includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, medical and governmental affairs, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations.
- Distributor management (experience in SSA markets).
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Create and present business cases to senior management for review and approval.
- Negotiate and finalize business deals and agreements.
- Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives, including ROI and other key performance indicators.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with Renal Dialysis ideally Peritoneal Dialysis, and or Nephrology.
- Experience with Sub Saharan Africa and SADC regions particularly Distributor Management.
- Proven track record of success in identifying and executing business opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business development software.
- Good spoken and written English (Portuguese and French bonus).
- Ability to travel within the SADC / Sub-Sahara region.
