Operations Financial Analyst - Accounting (UK Hours)

Please note that this position will be supporting the UK region and therefore, working UK hours (10:00 - 18:30 SA time and until 19:30 during daylight saving)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Operations Financial Analyst will support the financial integrity of the Professional Services team, overseeing end-to-end billing, analyzing invoices, resolving billing issues, and preparing financial reports. The role requires strong financial analytical skills, experience with billing systems like OpenAir, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely invoicing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with the Global Services Operations Team on month-end schedules
• Analyse pending and missed billings, working with Project Managers and Practice Leaders
• Manage monthly invoice generation (~950 invoices), resolve rejections, and review billing files
• Analyse billing queries, credit requests, and generate credits in OpenAir
• Support quarterly referral commission payments and train teams on billing systems
• Attend meetings, contribute to process improvements, and monitor client debt positions
• Assist with ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis for the Finance team

REQUIREMENTS:

• Accountant or part-qualified accountant with relevant experience and understanding of financial statements
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience in Professional Services or IT consulting is advantageous
• Familiarity with OpenAir and Salesforce.com is a plus
