Job description

Our client, a national construction company specializing in medium to large-scale projects, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for their operations in the beautiful Winelands / Somerset West region.

Please note that this role requires advanced proficiency in CCS Candy and experience in the building sector, not civils or industrial construction surveying.

Position Details:
  1. Completion of a degree in Quantity Surveying, with 8+ years of experience in building projects on a national basis.
  2. Certification in CCS is essential, and an assessment will be conducted.
  3. Proven experience in contract law, insurances, financial reporting (per site and project), SHEQ legislation and implementation, site staff management (including IR if needed), as well as managing construction methods, measuring outputs, project programming, and scheduling.
  4. Experience managing a small team of surveyors with a proven track record in motivating and mentoring staff.
  5. Flexibility to travel if needed, with exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communication at all levels, leading by example, and delivering results in a high-pressure environment meeting international standards.
