Job Purpose

Develop, execute and maintain effective Media and Channel integration strategies across all advertising channels to meet annual A&G and Virseker targets, build brand presence, and drive future business growth, considering brand positioning and meeting Group Marketing Media and Channel performance objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Functional Strategy Formation: Lead the development and implementation of the Media and Channel Integration strategy, anticipating mega-trends and challenges, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy. Contribute to digital marketing strategy development.
  2. Leadership and Direction: Communicate actions needed to implement strategies, motivate teams, and align with the organisation's mission, vision, and values.
  3. Marketing: Manage development and delivery of marketing strategies, ensuring effective media and channel integration to optimize ROI and brand presence. Monitor campaign performance continuously.
  4. Budgeting & Costing: Manage and optimise budgets to meet business objectives.
  5. Brand: Oversee media and channel strategies within the broader brand strategy, ensuring effective development and delivery.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with stakeholders up to C-suite level, developing engagement plans to support communication and strategy implementation.
  7. Customer Relationship Management / Account Management: Develop plans to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and influencers, ensuring their needs are met.
  8. Contract Management: Manage contracts, negotiate SLAs, and oversee media buying and partnerships.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Lead operational reviews and innovation initiatives to ensure ongoing improvement and market relevance.
  10. Performance Management: Manage team performance, set objectives, and ensure achievement of goals.
  11. Digital Marketing Capabilities: Support digital marketing roadmap creation, capability building, and execution of enablement strategies to meet business goals.
Minimum Education & Experience
  • Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
  • Relevant 3-year Business degree / diploma in Commerce, Marketing, Media, or Advertising (Essential)
  • 8-10 years in Media or Channel Strategy environment (Essential)
  • Experience in financial services industry (Advantageous)
  • 3-4 years in a management role (Essential)
