HANDS ON POSITION

• Grade 12
• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years’ experience in Maintenance Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience
• Proficiency in SAP / ERP System
• Experience with MS Projects
• AutoCAD skills
• Crane operation experience (advantage)

Responsibilities include providing maintenance and engineering support to optimize plant performance, manage budgets, and improve equipment reliability, availability, and performance.

• Maintenance planning and capital management
• Ensuring adherence to planned maintenance, preventative, and proactive maintenance schedules
• Managing onsite maintenance technicians for optimal performance during breakdowns and shutdowns
• Experience with cranes and production processes (advantage)
• Knowledge of the steel industry (advantage)
• Advanced computer literacy in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and SAP
• Understanding of relevant legislation related to maintenance and the OHS Act
