Vacancy: Admissions Officer at IIE Varsity College, Online Centre, Waterfall (Midrand)
Duties and Responsibilities
Student Application & Admission Administration
- Collaborate with the campus Student Recruitment team to handle student admissions queries.
- Follow up with the Student Recruitment team for missing student information to finalize admissions.
- Evaluate student applications against set admission criteria and communicate outcomes.
- Liaise with the recruitment team during admission evaluation and assessment.
- Escalate complex queries to the Admissions Manager.
- Manage admission waitlists and declined admissions in coordination with the recruitment team.
- Handle documentation and issuance of admission letters.
- Determine admission conditions and monitor their fulfillment.
- Assess student eligibility for academic programs.
- Track admissions through to registration and report progress to relevant managers.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements and collaborate with Finance on related issues.
- Support national admission projects with the Admissions Manager.
Student Registration Administration
- Apply holds on student accounts for outstanding documentation or conditions.
- Verify registrations against admission criteria.
- Complete counseling documentation for Education students prior to approval.
- Manage transfer processes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
- Handle registration of new students and follow up on external credit applications.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and ensure compliance with international student policies.
- Re-audit registration files in line with deadlines and verify qualifications and visas.
- Monitor conditional admissions throughout the year.
Reports and Other Responsibilities
- Train new recruitment staff and update sales team on process changes.
- Maintain communication with the Registrar regarding related queries.
- Ensure compliance with POPIA legislation.
- Perform ad hoc administrative and reporting duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
- National Diploma/Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6)
- Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) advantageous
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably with admissions
