GROUP FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER
Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Group Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team based in Klapmuts.
Position overview:
This pivotal role, reporting directly to the CFO, offers the opportunity to drive financial excellence across the organisation. The successful candidate will lead the preparation of the group’s consolidated financial statements, ensure compliance with IFRS, and uphold the integrity of financial reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage the group’s consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS or relevant GAAP standards.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of monthly and annual financial reports to stakeholders, including the executive team and board of directors.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of financial reports for regulatory filings.
- Lead the consolidation process for multiple entities within the group, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations and reporting.
- Maintain and enhance the financial consolidation system and procedures to drive greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient annual audit process.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements across the group.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the group’s fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies.
- Ensure timely capitalisation, depreciation, impairment assessments, and disposals are accurately recorded in the fixed asset register.
- Collaborate with operational teams to track physical assets and reconcile discrepancies.
- Develop, document, and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity.
- Provide recommendations for improving financial and operational processes to enhance controls and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with Financial Managers and Department Heads to provide data for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Monitor and analyse financial data to support decision-making and identify key trends.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the financial team to ensure high performance and foster professional growth.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and collaboration within the finance department.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA).
- A minimum of five years’ relevant experience, including group financial reporting, consolidations, and auditing.
- Proven experience in managing external audits and collaborating with senior leadership.
- In-depth technical knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Proficient in financial reporting systems, with advanced Excel skills.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Sage X3, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- A passion for driving innovation and process improvement within financial reporting functions.
