Job Description

The Communications department currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, reliable individual to join their team.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  1. Assisting with installation, wiring and mounting of various electronic devices, machines or equipment
  2. Installation and wiring of access control systems, CCTV cameras and motorized entrance points
  3. Installation, fault finding, relocation and fitment of all telecommunications
  4. Fitting of data cables for all network points and power skirting
  5. Assist in moving offices and setting up PC's, Phone lines, and moving files
  6. Mounting, wiring and fitting grids for wireless infrastructure
  7. Day to day maintenance, installation and servicing of security equipment
  8. Tool and equipment maintenance
  9. Adhoc activities as requested by Manager / Team Leader
  10. Housekeeping
  11. Understanding of and abiding by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Qualifying Criteria
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working within an electronic security field
  • Basic electric / electronic, CCTV or alarm courses
  • Basic camera, alarm, automation, data cabling, electric fencing, V electricity knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience working with power tools
  • Valid driver's license or actively in the process of obtaining a driver's license
  • Must be prepared to work overtime when required

Working hours

07:30 – 17:00 Monday - Thursday

07:30 – 16:00 Fridays

May be required to work overtime as per operational requirements
