Introduction
The Consumer Product & Solutions Manager plays a critical role in driving the success of telematics products and solutions.
This position involves leading the entire lifecycle of consumer-facing products, from initial concept to market launch and ongoing optimization.
The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical acumen, and strong leadership skills to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience, improve business outcomes, and align with market trends.
This manager will identify market opportunities, define product roadmaps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class telematics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Vision
- Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with overall company goals and market opportunities.
- Develop compelling value propositions for telematics products, ensuring they meet customer needs and drive growth.
- Lead product conceptualization, design, business case development, and aftermarket management.
- Influence and inspire cross-functional teams to drive innovation.
- Provide strategic input to Business Planning, Segment, and Sales teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to bring solutions to market timely.
Market Analysis and Innovation
- Conduct customer needs assessments and market research to identify pain points and opportunities.
- Serve as a telematics subject matter expert, providing insights to teams and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Lead market research initiatives to inform strategy.
- Evaluate existing products for improvements.
Product Management and Development
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to management.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and operations.
- Manage product backlogs and translate strategy into requirements.
- Drive revenue initiatives and leverage telematics data for insights.
- Develop product positioning and messaging.
- Plan and execute beta programs and gather feedback.
- Act as a product evangelist internally and externally.
Pricing and Financial Management
- Develop and implement pricing strategies.
- Monitor pricing performance and analyze key metrics.
- Support financial modeling for new products.
- Provide revenue forecasts and analyze variances.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Build relationships with key stakeholders including customers, partners, and vendors.
- Negotiate partnership and licensing agreements.

Operational Planning and Support
- Drive best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5-10 years in product management, preferably in telematics, IoT, or automotive sectors.
- Proven success in launching consumer-facing products.
- Experience in agile environments and budget planning.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of telematics technologies.
- Familiarity with mobile app development, cloud platforms, and data visualization.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions.
