Job description

Our client, a dynamic sports broadcaster, is looking for a Senior Broadcast Engineer to plan, design, implement, manage, maintain, support, and operate the live digital video broadcast delivery system.

This includes managing direct interconnects, RCN feeds, satellite distributions, broadcast systems, backhaul, and operation.

The role involves project reporting to key stakeholders related to live digital broadcasting and networking, ensuring all SLAs are met.

Minimum Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in technical operations with operational involvement
• 3 years of experience in technical operations with management involvement
• 3 years of experience in development with operational involvement
• Knowledge of common operating systems
• Advanced skills in numeric and statistical analysis (network metrics, VOD subscriber statistics)
• Good understanding of linear headend and conditional access systems
• Excellent understanding of streaming technologies such as HLS, RTMP, MS Smooth Streaming, Icecast, HTML5
• Strong planning and organizing skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of industry products and standards
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Judgment and decision-making skills
• Experience with DTH, IPTV, OTT, VOD, and broadcasting, including linear content receipt technology and play-through advertising servers
