NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / SALES: GUARDING DIVISION

The New Business Development department seeks to employ a New Business Development Representative within the East Rand and surrounding areas.

The overall purpose of this position is to seek new business through networks, forge and sustain good relations with clients, and maintain and grow an existing client base by offering a complete end-to-end integrated risk mitigation solution.

The incumbent's role would be to design, cost, propose, and present complex integrated security solutions to both existing and new clients, representing the full spectrum of the Commercial offering as well as the Group's offering.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Sales diploma or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven track record in sales experience.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in a similar position.
  • PSIRA Grading will be an advantage.
  • 2-4 years of sales experience in security, preferably.
  • Fully bilingual; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours if required.
  • Previous experience in the security industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Clear criminal record and no pending cases.
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
  • Willingness to travel and reside in the East Rand area.

Essential Duties & Key Performance Responsibilities (not exhaustive):

  • Accountability for client growth and increasing turnover through existing and new clients.
  • Achieving revenue targets and securing profitable new business.
  • Attending to potential clients and conducting site surveys for security requirements.
  • Designing, costing, and presenting security solutions and proposals.
  • Building and maintaining professional client relationships.
  • Planning, budgeting, and coordinating client needs.
  • Assisting with marketing activities.
  • Preparing and submitting management reports.
  • Developing knowledge of trade and competitors.
  • Ensuring accurate completion of contracts and quotations with necessary documentation.
  • Identifying sales opportunities through cold calling and other means.
