Job description

A leading Mining company based in Mooinooi, North-West is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial processing & reporting
  2. Operation cost control & allocation
  3. Preparing operational cost budgets
  4. Cost reporting for operations
  5. Asset register control
  6. Operation purchasing & pricing control
  7. Month end process
  8. Work closely with operations management and staff
  9. Support to plant management and Financial Department
  10. Stock Management
  11. Implementation and control of spare inventory management system
  12. Manage inventory
  13. Ensure that stock levels are adequate
  14. Manage, control and organize inventory counts
  15. Stock value control; General housekeeping of warehouses
  16. Supervision, coaching and mentoring of staff members

Requirements:
  1. Grade 12 / Matric with accounting as a subject
  2. Degree in Finance / Cost & Management Accounting
  3. Post graduate qualification may be advantageous
  4. 5 - 8 years working experience in a similar field
  5. Experience in cost management
  6. Experience in spares inventory control
  7. Must be an action-oriented person
  8. Analytical skills
  9. Attention to detail
  10. Communication skills
  11. Ability to work under pressure
  12. Must be a result-driven person and forward-thinking
