Assistant Manager: B-BBEE Verification Services

Position Summary

To support quality assurance of information in the B-BBEE Certificate portal, liaising with verification professionals and SANAS.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring and Evaluation: Support legislative compliance monitoring, conduct research, and recommend systems and tools for compliance assessment. Issue acknowledgment letters to entities reporting to the Commission as per section 13G of the B-BBEE Act. Analyze and assess B-BBEE compliance reports.
  2. Verification Inspections: Conduct inspections on practitioners, maintain verification practitioners database, participate in technical assessments, and quality assure uploaded certificates and reports. Provide portal training to verification practitioners.
  3. Corrective Measures and Legal Support: Identify non-compliant practitioners, propose penalties, and support legal actions against non-compliance.
  4. Reporting: Prepare quarterly reports on trends, verification practitioners, non-compliance, actions taken, and portal challenges and upgrades.
Qualifications and Experience

Degree or National Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economic Science, or Law. At least 3 years of relevant experience in inspections, investigations, or compliance monitoring. Knowledge of PFMA, B-BBEE Act, and King IV Report on Corporate Governance.
