Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to oversee the end-to-end data

migration process as part of a major system transition. The successful candidate will be

responsible for data mapping, migration execution, documentation, and testing,

ensuring accurate, secure, and complete data transfer between systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of data migration from legacy systems to the

target system.

• Conduct data mapping exercises between source and target systems, ensuring

alignment with business and technical requirements.

• Define, document, and maintain the data migration strategy, plan, and approach.

• Coordinate with business analysts, data owners, technical teams, and vendors to

gather and validate data requirements.

• Oversee and validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)

processes.

• Ensure all migration-related documentation is completed, including data mapping

sheets, data dictionaries, issue logs, and sign-off records.

• Design and execute data migration testing plans, including data validation,

reconciliation, and defect management.

• Address and resolve data quality and integrity issues in collaboration with

stakeholders.

• Maintain compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards

throughout the migration.

• Provide regular updates to project leadership and participate in steering or working

group meetings as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in leading complex data migrations across enterprise systems.

• Strong understanding of data mapping, data quality, and ETL processes.

• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.

• Experience with data migration testing, including reconciliation and validation

• Strong documentation skills and experience maintaining detailed and audit-

compliant migration records.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.

• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Certifications in data management, migration tools, or project delivery (e.g.,

DAMA, Microsoft, AWS, or PMP).

• Experience with ERP, CRM, or legacy-to-cloud migrations is highly advantageous.
