Job description

A well-established manufacturer of agrohemicals is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to assist various stakeholders with stock related queries as well as perform monthly stock reconciliations and processing of stock take variances.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum requirements for the role :

  • Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience will be required
  • Must have previous experience in inventory control and exposure safety standards and procedures in a chemical environment
  • Good communication and writing skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, are important
  • Must be computer literate

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Providing daily assistance to various stakeholders on stock queries.
  • Performing monthly sequence checks of the warehouse.
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of stock variances on an ad hoc basis of the warehouse with problems as and when requested.
  • Processing monthly stock charge outs.
  • Processing stock adjustments, i.e. customer claims and charge on product, regional fund credits and trial products.
  • Assigning and maintaining accurate records and tracking thereof.
  • Providing assistance to various departments with month end procedures.
  • Creating and maintaining stock codes.
  • Assisting Accountants with month end procedures, i.e. balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintaining SOP’s.
  • Assisting Accounts Payable with PO’s and GRN matching.
  • Assisting with preparation of internal and external audits.
  • Assisting with resolution of internal and external audit queries raised by the auditors.
  • Facilitating stock audits and compilation of audit reports.
