Job description

We are partnering with a Fortune 300 leader in the transportation sector to identify a top-tier candidate for the role of Regional Intermodal Lift Equipment Manager. Role Overview:
The chosen candidate will direct and oversee all aspects related to the selection, maintenance, and retirement of intermodal lift equipment for a designated region. The core objective of this role is to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, economical, and reliable equipment to enhance intermodal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and govern maintenance strategies for intermodal assets across the system.
  2. Elevate equipment dependability and readiness.
  3. Assure strict adherence to maintenance contracts.
  4. Provide pivotal technical guidance to hasten equipment service return.
  5. Champion the introduction of innovative component alternatives.
  6. Oversee the development and management of expense budgets.
  7. Collaborate with a diverse spectrum of stakeholders, from customers and contractors to other rail counterparts and regulatory agencies.
  8. Build and nurture productive relationships with maintenance teams.
  9. Carry out terminal evaluations and equipment assessments.
  10. Role demands unwavering commitment, including regular overnight troubleshooting travels.

Desired Experience:

  1. Minimum: 3-5 years in relevant roles
  2. Preferred: 6-10 years of progressive experience

Educational Credentials:
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree (BS) in either Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Skill Set Sought:

  1. Deep-seated knowledge in hydraulics, mechanical systems, and electrical dynamics.
  2. Familiarity with industrial control frameworks, including software logic and hardware paradigms.

Working Environment:

  1. Predominantly Office/Field based
  2. Flexibility for occasional shift work, being on-call, weekend responsibilities, and travel (5 -15 Days per Month) is essential.
