Responsibilities
The Office Administrator is responsible for providing efficient administrative and secretarial support to the UP-PUA and the Career Hub. This role ensures smooth coordination of administrative tasks, learner data management, financial processing, communication, and event coordination. The incumbent also serves as the Secretariat for both the UP-PUA and the Career Hub, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on all key meetings and action items.
Summary Of The Key Responsibilities
- Office Management and Administration of UP-PUA Activities
- Secretariat and Administrative Support for PUA and Career Hub
- Financial and General Administration
- Learner Data Management
- Communication and Liaison
- Events coordination and marketing
Minimum Requirements
- A three-year National Diploma in Office Administration or similar qualification and 2 years relevant experience;
- OR Grade 12- and 4-years relevant experience.
Required Competencies (skills, Knowledge And Behavioural Attributes)
Relevant experience in office management that includes;
- Office administration/management
- Secretarial work
- Financial and project administration
- Events management
- MS Office especially Microsoft Excel
ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES
- A relevant degree
- A diploma in Project Management/ Event Coordination
- Experience in a tertiary or academic environment and a discipline in a faculy
- Experience in the use of appropriate ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft and the PS financial module)
- Project management experience
- Experience in public relations
- Experience in budgeting

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
