Financial Controller Food and Beverage

The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the financial health and efficiency of the Restaurant, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. The role involves overseeing all accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial reporting.
4. Develop annual budgets and perform financial forecasting.
5. Monitor and control expenses, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
6. Identify financial risks and opportunities.
7. Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
8. Manage audits, liaise with external auditors, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
9. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
10. Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
11. Advise management on cost reduction strategies and profitability improvement.
12. Contribute to business growth by analyzing market trends and financial risks.
13. Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
14. Develop staff competencies in financial best practices.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CIMA, CA(SA), or ACCA qualification preferred.

Experience:

1. Stock counting
2. Asset counting
3. Managing staff cash ups
4. Managing staff rosters
5. Capturing GRV’s
6. Receiving stock
7. Supplier payments and reconciliations
8. Payroll
9. 5 years’ experience, must have experience in GAAP.
