MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To promote and sell the Bank’s product bouquet to clients through responsible sales activities. Responsible for sourcing and developing new contacts, prospects, and sales leads through the Bank’s internal campaigns and personal referrals.
Key Performance Inputs/Activities
1. Sales Focus
- Achieve customer growth, revenue, and collections targets as defined by the bank.
- Meet and exceed individual activity metrics for all product lines.
- Meet, exceed, and effectively execute all Sales & Customer targets set by the Bank.
- Implement the Bank's sales strategy regarding Product & Value-Added Services (Up Selling, Cross Selling & Capital Take Up).
- Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
- Convert all sales opportunities from inbound requests, outbound calls, lead initiatives, and customer queries.
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers to generate new business.
- Participate in cross-selling bank products.
- Maintain detailed pipeline management and prospect data.
- Arrange in-person visits, appointments, and presentations, with follow-ups as needed.
- Conduct professional financial needs analyses to facilitate sales.
- Schedule customer feedback sessions for document collection and progress updates.
- Adhere to supervision requirements for all financial products.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management.
- Ensure effective cash management, CAM management, and credit card administration when required, with proper authorization.
- Take accountability for personal results.
2. Marketing Focus
- Stay informed about products, services, competitive activities, and promotional trends.
- Identify referral opportunities within and around the branch.
- Support branch goals by generating new business through marketing, promotions, telemarketing, and targeted initiatives.
- Participate in community events to promote the bank and increase business opportunities.
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with policies and procedures.
3. Risk & Compliance Focus
- Ensure high deal quality by completing applications accurately and promptly, utilizing all necessary tools to mitigate risk.
- Comply with all policies and regulatory requirements related to customer interactions.
- Report incidents related to AML, fraud, or dishonesty through proper channels.
- Maintain a zero-defect approach to deal quality and income/expenses capturing.
- Comply with FAIS journey and RE qualification requirements as set by the Bank.
4. Customer Service
- Adhere to the Bank's Customer Service Standards and relevant legislation.
- Follow TCF principles.
- Take responsibility for personal behavior and support team members in engaging with customers.
- Meet all customer financial needs and assist them in achieving financial success.
- Ensure quality and timely processing of applications, queries, and solutions for customers.
5. Training & Development
- Participate in ongoing sales and service training to address developmental needs.
- Complete all product, service, risk, and compliance training initiatives successfully.
6. Operational Activities
- Follow all security, safety, and operational procedures, including opening/closing, surveillance, and emergency protocols.
- Perform other administrative duties as required by management.
Minimum Education
NQF level 6 FSCA aligned/business-related qualification; RE5 preferred.
Minimum Experience
At least 2 years of sales and client service experience, with full representative status in all product categories.
