UK Based Accountancy firm seeks a Qualified Accountant, who has worked for an Accounting practice for min 3yrs, servicing SMMEs on Xero.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
3. Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
4. Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes.
5. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns.
6. Monitor and manage company budgets and forecasts.
7. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits.
8. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
9. Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures.
10. Provide financial advice and support to other departments as needed.
11. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
12. Able to prepare accounts on Xero.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential).
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
3. Minimum of 3yrs recent Accounting Firm experience.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
5. Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems, Xero qualified.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Solid Xero experience.
