Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Fitting, Rigging, and/or Boilermaking experience.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Labour Legislation.

• Implement Planned Plant Maintenance and manage breakdowns.
• Supervise Workshop staff and ensure compliance.

Job description

Trade Tested Artisan (Mechanical Fitting)

• N6 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification obtained from an accredited further or higher education institute
• Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Fitting, Rigging, and/or Boilermaking experience in a Supervisory capacity within a heavy industrial environment
• Experience required in Bulk Materials Handling Equipment
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Knowledge of Labour Legislation
• Computer Skills (Microsoft Office applications)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport
• Ability to work in a team and motivate a team

JOB OUTPUTS

• Implementation of Planned Plant Maintenance
• Manage and control plant and machinery breakdowns and repairs
• Manage all new installations and plant modifications
• Supervise all Workshop staff and ensure Legal and Operational compliance
• Handle administration related to tools, equipment, materials, consumables, and staff requirements
• Liaise with both external and internal stakeholders
