Job description

The role is dedicated to transforming ideas and client requirements into production-ready designs and drawings for ease of manufacture. The Engineer is expected to produce innovative, detailed manufacturing drawings with guidance from the Structural Design and Engineering manager. Responsible for engineering integrity with a maximum focus on design efficiency, assembly, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications and Skills

• BSc / BEng Mechanical or suitable architectural qualification specialising in retail design and manufacturing or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
• Creo (advantageous) or any suitable 3D design package.
• Experience Required:

o 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing with diverse knowledge of processes, materials, shop fitting, joinery, etc.

o 1-2 years industry-specific experience (advantageous).

• Understand manufacturing and production workflows and assist in decision-making processes.

Process:

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Planning and Organising:

• Ensure on-time delivery for production and handover to clients.
• The Engineer will need to work towards project-specific timelines.
• Create 3D models and drawing packs for manufacturing purposes.
• Fulfill any reasonable requests from management, including technical engineering and ad hoc projects.
