This position reports to

Service Team Leader


Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will repair standard drive units and subassemblies, ensuring cost-effective problem resolution. You will execute work according to first-time right principles, quality standards, and safety guidelines, delivering excellent customer service. The role involves identifying new service opportunities in collaboration with customers and team members. The work model is onsite, contributing to the Electrification Services Business Area.


Key responsibilities include:
  1. Adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards and company policies.
  2. Delivering high-quality service for medium/LV voltage systems, switchgear, digital switchgear, protection relays, and retrofit installations.
  3. Assisting with vendor and startup activities, preparing reports, and troubleshooting equipment failures.
  4. Planning and executing work with a first-time right approach, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  5. Providing technical guidance and training to colleagues and customers.

Qualifications
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • B Tech Elect (Advantageous)
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams, schematics, and standards.
  • Experience with switchgear repairs, testing, and electrical test equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License and Passport.
  • Availability for standby, travel, and working under pressure, including outside South Africa.
