Bookkeeper position currently available in George.

Our Client based in George, is seeking a motivated and capable individual to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Remuneration: R15 000 – R20 000 per month depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processing tax invoices for suppliers and customers
• Handling cashbook processing and ensuring accurate bank reconciliations
• Reconciling accounts against supplier and customer statements
• SARS e-filing equipped
• VAT reconciliation and returns
• Assist with VAT reviews on SARS
• Processing of journals and processing up to a final trial balance

Requirements:

• A degree/diploma would be an advantage
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an auditing or accounting firm would be an advantage
• Must be proficient in Sage and Xero
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be self-motivated, energetic, and proactive
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly
• Be computer literate and comfortable with various software tools
