Job description

Live and work in a vibrant metro area near stunning beaches and world-renowned wineries.

Enjoy work-life balance in a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Competitive salary, relocation assistance, and performance incentives.

Relocate to Australia and Elevate Your Career!

Let the journey begin

Join KINNECT, Australia's largest privately owned Occupational Health provider, and take your career to the next level! We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our high-performing occupational rehabilitation team at our waterfront Newcastle clinic.

We especially welcome New Zealand OTs looking to move; we support your relocation and aim to make you feel at home!

This role offers incredible variety—from ADL and VOC assessments to workplace evaluations and return-to-work planning. No two days are the same! You'll be part of a close-knit team making a real impact on workers' lives by helping them return to meaningful employment.

What will you be doing as an Occupational Therapist at KINNECT

  • Assess workers with physical and psychological injuries to determine the best pathway for recovery and return to work.
  • Conduct workplace assessments to evaluate job demands and create tailored rehabilitation plans.
  • Prepare reports that provide clear recommendations based on your clinical observations for return-to-work strategies.
  • Complete Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments, including service coordination and equipment prescription.
  • Manage complex injury cases, collaborating with doctors, health professionals, and employers to assist injured workers in recovering and returning to work/life.

You will also oversee and contribute to injury prevention services such as:

  • Pre-Employment Assessments (including drug & alcohol, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing).
  • Job Dictionary Development—creating detailed job role documentation to support workplace rehabilitation.
  • Manual Task Risk Assessments and Interactive Manual Handling Training.
  • Workplace, home, and vehicle ergonomic assessments to promote safer work environments.

What Our Team Says

"As an OT, I love workplace rehab because of the incredible variety it offers. From ADLs and MBIs to ergonomic assessments and worksite visits, each day is different and helps me grow my skill set. I've learned so much about physical conditions and how they affect the body, and I am currently mastering how to measure body angles using a goniometer. What truly makes my experience at KINNECT special is the supportive team—I couldn't ask for a better environment to thrive in." — April, Occupational Therapist at KINNECT
