Job description

Our Therapy Group Practice at Nurture Health requires a Rehab Medical Doctor who will be based at Nurture Stellenbosch physical rehabilitation facility in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This role offers an exciting opportunity to treat inpatient rehabilitation patients and build relationships with referring specialists in the area. The successful applicant will be part of the facility leadership team.

Minimum Education / Experience
  • An MBChB degree and full HPCSA registration.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Practitioner.
  • Own transport.
  • Professional indemnity cover.
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary team setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Exposure to inpatient treatment, high care, ICU, and casualty is advantageous but not essential.
Competency Expectations
  • Patient and family-centered approach.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patients and team members.
  • Interest in working closely with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, and administrators.
  • Responsibility for patient care, ability to handle some uncertainty, and knowing when to consult colleagues and specialists.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a desire to learn and be coached.
  • Literate in MS Windows and MS Office.
  • Perform pre-admission patient rehabilitation evaluations guided by the Nurture Care Model.
Remuneration

Minimum remuneration: R96,889.53 CTC (including benefits).
